Oracle DBA

Project: Oracle DBA for Government authority 
Tasks:
  • Maintenance of large Oracle databases in a Unix environment
  • Database config, operation, tuning, backup and monitoring
  • 2nd level support, incident handling and developer support
  • Installation of new apps
  • Server side tuning
  • Capacity planning
  • Evaluation and implementation of security standards
  • Support of IFS, Oracle workflow, OAS, IAS, Recovery Manager, Oracle Names

Prerequisites:
Skills (+ level of seniority): Minimum of 3 years as a Oracle DBA in Unix environments.

Preferably experience in mission critical environments

Good experience in tuning

Good knowledge of IFS, workflow, OAS and iAS

Java/J2EE experience is useful

preferably OCP for 8i and/or 9i

Spoken languages: Bi-lingual French and English
Other interpersonal skills:

Occasionally providing service outside normal working hours and on holidays etc.

Location: Luxembourg
Initial Duration: 12 months
Any Extension Foreseen?: yes up to 3 years
Starting Date: June 2005
